The new WordPress Website is now finished and available at the same URL – https://www.graysoncountyarc.org. It is replacing the Joomla website created for the club back in March of 2018. The new website has more functionality, and with the addition of HamCLubOnline.com for the membership, there is no need for extensive membership forms used on the website to signup or renew your dues for membership in the club. What’s neat is that there is no additional cost, except for my time spent to re-create and move over data from the old website to the new. As a member promoting our club, I would never charge a fee to do this.
The club previously purchased a 2-year plan in 2019 that is beginning it’s second year with the hosting company In-Motion Hosting. In the process of continuing to make things even better for the website, I may decide to move the website from its present host – InMotion Hosting, to Amazon. If I make that decision, I’ll give information to the officers, to discuss pricing and the advantages of moving, but that surely will not take place until sometime in early 2021. The end decision will totally be up to the officers if a move is to take place because of the costs to do so.
